Year over year, Terumo Neuro continues to have best-in-class conversion rates, converting interns in the following departments: HR (Human Resources), HR Communications, Talent Development, Marketing, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Accounting, and more.R&D InternThe R&D Intern will assist in supporting development of medical device products through project work focused on verifying specifications, designs, fixtures, test processes, equipment and helping to ensure the concepts and/or prototypes meet their requirements. - Working toward a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical, Materials, Biomedical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or other related disciplines.
- Creative, inquisitive and demonstrates a strong desire to “build” and “create” (i.e. robotics, mechanical repair, construction).
- Demonstrated experience reading & preparing technical documentation.
- Computer experience and skills including MS Word, Excel and CAD.
- Strong analytical capability and organization skills
- Coursework in 2-D/3-D drawings
- Knowledge of SolidWorks
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and autonomously.
- Knowledge of medical device materials and processes: adhesives, plastics/polymers, metals, laser-welding, laser-cutting, braiding, and lamination.
- Machine shop experience
- The primary work location for this position is Aliso Viejo, CA (company headquarters).
- Relocation may be available for qualified candidates.
