Quality Technician I - CR
Position Overview
Support the quality assurance activities related to development and manufacture of medical devices. Work with engineers to address various product reliability and quality issues. Process the receipt, re-work, re-labeling, re-inspection, and inventory transfers of product returned from consignment and truck-stock inventories. Job duties:
- Assist engineers with investigation of product and process quality issues.
- Assist engineers with product testing and test method validations.
- Assist with activities related to equipment calibration, corrective/preventive actions, nonconformance reports, internal audits, and CAPA projects.
- Receive and reconcile counts of returned goods.
- Inspect returns and determine the processing requirements to restore the product to finished goods condition.
- Monitor all activities to ensure the product is processed properly through the entire process from receipt through transfer to finished goods.
- Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) year of technical work experience in the medical device industry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including communication with associates in other departments.
- Use of labeling software or excellent capability to learn new software.
- University bachelor’s degree is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical product manufacturing and quality.
- Experience with medical device testing; experience testing the Company’s products.
- Ability to read and follow test procedures.
- Competency or ability to use MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to perform product inspections; understanding of technical documentation including mechanical drawings.
- Good computer skills and ability to learn MRP software.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
