Sr Manager, Field Inventory
Position Overview
Provide thought, vision, and strategic leadership, and best practices in execution in managing field inventory at MicroVention. Work closely with senior/executive leaders to develop and implement best practices leveraging technological tools to best achieve company financial and service level objectives. Collaborate with many key stakeholders across business divisions and functional groups to define and execute the strategies and best practices for all Field Inventory Management activities. The position requires an autonomous leader with strong influencing skills and the ability to work across functions, building and maintaining strong partnerships with Finance, Sales, Marketing, Quality Assurance, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Customer Service. Job duties:
- Provide concept leadership to create and lead programs to develop management excellence in managing field inventory (consignment and trunk) to meet company financial (revenue and working capital) and operational goals.
- Leading through others, be the “go to” person for thought leadership within the company, educating and gaining alignment amongst peers as well as senior leaders.
- Identify critical roles, incentive structures, and policy enhancements required to optimally control field inventory.
- Stand up and lead critical forums to drive visibility and accountability to field inventory and management thereof.
- Leverage industry-standard analysis and benchmarks to develop and support proposals to optimize distribution of field inventory across warehouse, trunk and consignment locations within guidelines established by the business.
- Increase visibility to drive focus and alignment for the organization.
- Work with key partners (e.g., Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, etc.) to analyze critical business factors to establish optimal inventory targets.
- Develop data and visual reporting tools geared to highlight focus areas.
- Work through others, managing across various stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Sales, and Marketing) to drive collaboration and coordination to ensure effectiveness of programs.
- Maintain compliance with MicroVention Quality and Regulatory requirements, as well as customer contract requirements.
- Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field of study.
- A minimum of eight (8) years of Supply Chain/Inventory Management experience managing relationships with Sales team, Distribution Centers, Commercial Operations, Contracts, and Quality.
- A minimum of two (2) years of management experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated use and comfort in obtaining data to drive decisions.
- Comfort working with, communicating to, and influencing senior management along with all other levels within the organization.
- Ability to operate with agility and in a changing environment.
- Ability to thrive self-directed in fast-paced, multi-tasking, and matrixed environment.
- Strong working knowledge of inventory, regulatory and financial concepts related to inventory and working capital optimization, traceability, and expiration.
- Proficient with MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Master’s degree.
- Medical device or life sciences organization experience or equivalent combination of education, related experience, and training.
- Experience learning and applying complex process flows to meet customer needs.
- Experience with SAP.
