Technician Sr, R&D
Position Overview
Builds complex prototypes from verbal instructions and/or simple drawings and performs testing and documentation duties with moderate supervision.Job duties:
- Fabricates complex prototypes, manufacturing processes and fixtures.
- Sets-up and conducts tests of completed units or components under operational conditions to investigate designs or to obtain data for development and standardization.
- Records and analyzes test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data.
- Supports production or process development as required.
- Sets-up, adjusts and operates laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Provides input into product design, processes and testing.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be proficient and have demonstrated skill in any one area or significant portions across all areas; technical project coordination or process/equipment/tooling development or product translation effectiveness (or prototyping). Combination of one or more is ideal.
- Five (5) years’ experience as a technician with at least two (2) years as an assembler/operator in in the medical device industry.
- Computer skills including Excel, Word, and AutoCad/SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of materials and suppliers.
- Knowledge of processes and/or machinery and equipment used in the development and production of medical devices.
- Good written and oral communication.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.
