Sr Specialist, Professional Affairs and Clinical Education

Position Overview

Responsible for supporting and leading the management of Professional Affairs and Clinical Education initiatives and programs to maintain and expand the worldwide adoption of MicroVention products. Provide leadership with MVI programs including but not limited to; Proctoring Programs, Clinical Immersion Programs (CIPs), and Mentorship Programs from a technical, clinical, educational, and administrative standpoint. Establish relationships and work effectively with healthcare professionals, vendors, global sales/marketing/distribution teams, and all cross-functional department associates. Job duties:
  • Build, organize, develop, and help manage suitable objectives, strategies, and tactics, for complete execution of PACE initiatives, including control of budgets, developing deadlines, performance standards, and monitoring inter-connected projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage engagement with KOLs, proctors or healthcare professionals on focused product initiatives including but not limited to, proctor engagement, remote proctoring, proctor reverse training, voice-of-customer, and key expert presentations.
  • Manage submission, tracking and processing of KOL, proctor or healthcare professional contracts, engagement activities, travel arrangements and payments for proctor related services and other proctor programs.
  • Support, develop, build, analyze, and manage dashboards for KOLs, and physician proctor/HCP training documentation, providing strategic recommendations based on analysis and support of data.
  • Assist in developing proctor clinical education materials, presentations, and other support materials with key stakeholders globally.
  • Assist, develop, organize, coordinate, lead, and manage proctor, healthcare professional, and other physician training events involving MicroVention associates and global partners.
  • Facilitate and help manage podium events, publications, training, other consulting work under HCP agreements, and general PACE team initiatives.
  • Help coordinate, organize, and support the strategic execution of physician visits at the MVI Global Innovation Center remote visits.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Salary Range:

$70,000 - $95,000 could be higher based on education, experience and skill set

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
    2. Minimum of five (5) years of professional project management experience.
    3. Experience in medical device industry.
    4. Leadership of project management or clinical study project, trials, and personnel management.
    5. Capable of effectively interfacing/communicating with physicians and clinical/technical customers, senior staff/executives, cross-functional team members, global sales, marketing and business partners or distributor organizations.
    6. Capacity to analyze problems, develop solutions and work in a team environment.
    7. Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively, consistently meeting deadlines, and following-through on commitments.
    8. Capability and flexibility to travel to hospitals, meetings or events and participate in training activities worldwide.
    9. Extremely reliable and dependable.
    10. Excellent organizational and project coordination ability with acute attention to detail.
    11. Advanced MS Office proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams, in addition to iPad skills with working knowledge of and ability to maintain customer databases.
    Desired Qualifications
    1. Master’s degree preferred.
    2. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
    3. Professional talent to accommodate the needs of multiple associates with various work styles.
    4. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
    5. Knowledge of complete cardiovascular vascular anatomy with a focus on neurovascular/peripheral catheterization knowledge, techniques, and skills.
    6. Ability to effectively articulate MicroVention product use, concepts, outcomes and clinical device protocols and study design.
    7. Understanding of neurovascular device.
    8. Knowledge of Adobe and related graphics programs is preferred.
