VP, North America Sales

Position Overview

Responsible for managing the North America Regional Sales Managers (RSM), Territory Sales Managers (TSM), and Strategic Sales and Sales Operations staff to achieve annual sales objectives. Direct MV’s support in sales force effectiveness and manage functions essential to sales force and sales support productivity to include forecasting, budgeting, sales training, sales strategy implementation, sales order entry, and sales compensation design and administration. Job duties:
  • Develop plans and strategies for developing business growth and achieving MV’s sales objectives.
  • Accountable for effective sales organization design including sales responsibilities, sales operations design and effectiveness, and sales resource deployment.
  • Participate in sales/marketing management planning meetings regarding implementation of new product launches.
  • Design and manage sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting process. Ensure these efforts are in line with the company objectives.
  • Provide leadership to sales organization in implementing sales organization objectives that reflect the company’s business goals.
  • Organize and maintain Sales Operations for functional strategic applications.
  • Design and define sales staff compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve sales targets.
  • Work with Strategic Sales and Sales Operations to provide measurable sales metrics, sales reports, and key market trends to determine ROI.
  • Integrate with marketing, customer service and offer other functional departments to establish successful support and partner programs.
  • Establish a sales force training program focused on developing and reinforcing critical clinical sales competencies.
  • Hold quarterly Regional Sales Manager meetings to review actual versus sales goals.
  • Actively promote team building within department.
  • Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

    1. Bachelor’s degree in related field.
    2. Minimum twelve (12) years of medical device sales experience or equivalent.
    3. Minimum eight (8) years of medical device sales management experience or equivalent working with direct and indirect markets.
    4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    5. Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
    Desired Qualifications
    1. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers to include physicians, hospital staff, and hospital administration.
    2. Ability to make presentations to senior management/executive staff and company personnel.
    3. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    4. Ability to communicate and foster cooperative relationships within all departments.
